Exploring the Greener Future of Electronics and AI at TAITRONICS 2024

Last week, the 50th TAITRONICS and 7th AIoT Taiwan 2024 trade show at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center spotlighted Taiwan’s leadership in electronics and innovation. Themed “AInnovation Now,” this year’s event showcased the latest in AI, IoT, and sustainability, with more than 500 exhibitor booths.

The trade show is organized by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) and the Taiwan Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers’ Association (TEEMA). It has grown yearly, reflecting Taiwan’s important role in the global electronics industry. This year, the show focused on four main sectors: AI and IoT applications, low-Earth orbit satellites, unmanned aerial vehicles, and electronic innovation.

Key Taiwanese exhibitors like Axiomtek, GW Instek, and Synton Electronics led the demonstrations, with international representation from companies in Japan, South Korea, Canada, Israel, and beyond. Taiwan’s robust electronics industry, built on five decades of technological advancement, attracts innovators and manufacturers worldwide, reinforcing global commitment to an AI-powered future.

This year’s event featured unique pavilions like the Smart Electronic Innovation Pavilion and the AI+ Smart Tech Pavilion. They provided a first-hand look at advancements in automation, green energy, and AI-enhanced devices. Another standout was the Big Bang Startup Pavilion, where startups like POLYN Technology presented innovative solutions. Tony Chen, APAC Sales Director of POLYN, introduced POLYN’s cloudless voice recognition technology, which drew intense interest with its potential to revolutionize voice-command devices.

TAITRONICS also emphasized sustainable solutions — a critical focus in today’s electronics industry — highlighting technologies for energy efficiency and green power. All of POLYN’s neuromorphic analog AI products for sensor signal processing, with their industry-leading low power consumption, are developed with sustainability in mind, from smart health and wellness to smart home and IIoT solutions.
